Presidents Corner Happy New Year to NDRCC. REMEMBER THAT THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20TH. We are starting off on another great year at Eagle field and we are blessed to have access to such a spectacular site. Let’s not forget all of our members, past and present, who helped us procure and develop such a facility. As you have hopefully heard, we have proactively engaged an attorney to represent us with the Public Utility Commission to file an intervention to protest the possibility of installing a power line that would negatively impact our field. We will keep you all informed in the meetings, in the newsletter and on the web site. It is something we are taking very seriously and we feel positive that we are doing the right things to protect our rights. Our Bylaws have been recently updated and we also update the club rules annually. In January we will be approving rules for 2010. If you have ideas for updates or changes, please contact Charles Shafer, our new safety officer. We held our annual elections in December and all six of our Board members were reelected. I want to thank my five cohorts for all of their time and work that are donated to the benefit of all. They are Jacque Parker, Ken Sienski, Alan Buckner, John Murphy and David Cotton. There are also several appointed officers who stepped forward again to fulfill their same role in 2010. John Reed, James Phipps, Ken Sienski, Charles Shafer, Bob Dane, Jim Williams, Johnny Snead and Billy Slater are all donating time on a regular basis for our benefit. By Don Hafer |
