Breaking News about the Mustang Tap Project
Good news regarding the Mustang Tap Power line issue. We have continued to work closely with our attorney and filing all of the required information requested by the PUC. At this time things are looking positive that the line would not impact Eagle Field. Charles Shafer is following closely and we will know more by late September.

Bulk Mail Fo-pah
Everyone I recently sent out a bulk email that stated the Pattern Contest for the club was listed as September 8-9, 2010 when in fact the correct date is September 18-19, 2010. I have corrected the date accordingly. Thank you to the sharp eyed members that pointed this out to me.

All,
Some items that have come up at the Board of Directors meeting as well as the General Club meeting.
1. The land owner has requested that we keep the gate to the access road closed at all times. This means no more "Leave the Gate Open I'm right behind you" The horses (smart devils that they are) have learned to jump the cattle guard and will loiter around the gate so they can jump it when you open it. Please be watchful of the horses.
2. Bob Dane and Art Wagoner have spent allot of time on the runway sealing cracks and doing maintenamce on the sides of the runway. Please be mindful of their work and pick up any FOD that may be on the runway or the flying stations. Also if you should crash (heaven forbid) please use the trash bags and pick up every piece of wood, plastic, batteries, fuel tanks as the cattle will eat it and it leaves a carbon foot print that is not very green of us.
3. Jim Williams says training night is sort of slow right now and he advises that if you want to fly on Trainng night (Tuesdays ) its okay with him as long as he is not teaching.
4. There is no news on the Mustang tap project other than we gave the lawyers more $$, We are due an update from Charles when he gets back from vacation.
5. We are about to enter into the hotest part of the summer be aware of the heat, bring ice and towels and wear a hat, sunshades ect... It's hot and if you feel dizzy or have a headache get in the car and run the AC until you feel beter. Heat stroke affects everybody young or old.
That's all for now Please fly and enjoy the field.

This is the overview of the flying site looking straight down on the runway, the parking lot and the pits. Notice the paved runway and the grass runway and the centerline between the two. All high speed passes will be done East of that red centerline and not over the paved runway or the pilots station. Also notice that the red center line extends past the stock pond. On cross wind days it is not allowed to turn to the runway over the land owners barn. Please stay on the red center line until you cross the fence, then are on NDRCC Managed land.

Above is the field layout detail showing the flight line and adjoining property. The center of the runway in correlation to the pitts , the overfly area and the Helicopter flying area. All pilots please note the RED AVOID AREA, this is the land owners personal space that includes his home and farming opperations. Please avoid flying at or near this space.
